Early in the morning we drive to UNESCO World Heritage Site Kaziranga National Park for an exciting elephant safari in the central range of the park. The great Indian one-horned Rhinos are easy to see. After an hour’s safari we have our breakfast in a lodge outside the park.

After breakfast, we take up a jeep safari covering either the Central or the Eastern range of the park. After lunch we enter the park again in a jeep this time covering the western range of the park. Later we are back to our vessel for overnight stay on board at Silghat.

The Project Tiger Kaziranga National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the home to the endangered one horned rhinoceros (2048 rhinos as per 2009 census). Besides, the park has several species of mammals and birds. The park has 70% of the world population of the Asiatic Water Buffalos and the Eastern Swamp Deer. We may also have a small stopover at one of the many tribal villages situated on the bank of the river. Rest of the day, the vessel cruises quietly and finally takes us to a deserted sleepy sand island. Enjoy a barbecue dinner on the sand island upstream Mayong and Pobitora.

Rising early morning we will take our country boat to explore Kolong River up to Kajoli Choki. After reaching Kajoli Choki we leave the boat and proceed for a land excursion to Mayong and Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary. We go for a safari at Pobitora wildlife sanctuary which has the highest density of the Great Indian One Horned Rhinos. Later we have a village walk in Mayong. We visit the Museum where we can still see the age old manuscripts of Black Magic. If luck favours, we may also have a small interaction with the King of Mayong. After lunch at a tourist lodge we return to our boat at Hatigoar. We finally join our big vessel at Ganesh Pahar where we stay overnight onboard.
