The Brahmaputra, as the river is known in Assam, originated in Tibet. It flows through the breadths of Assam & joins the Bay of Bengal through Bangladesh. The true source of the Brahmaputra lies in the ranges of the Chemayungdung mountains, some sixty miles south east of mount Kailash, being India’s most sacred mountain, revered as the home of Lord Shiva, one of the three main Gods of the Hindus. The Brahmaputra or Lohit (Red River) is known as Tamchok or Horse River in Western Tibet, the Tsangpo in central and eastern Tibet, the Siang in Arunachal Pradesh, the Jamuna, the Padma and finally the Meghna during its course in Bangladesh. In total the Brahmaputra covers some 1800 miles from its origin till the end.

The Brahmaputra is considered as tears in the monsoons as it creates havoc. At the same time it brings in prosperity to the land. One way it’s the life line of North East India.

It was this Brahmaputra that decided the fate of Assam with the great battle of Saraighat being fought on this river at Guwahati on March 1671 between the invading Mughal forces of Emperor Aurangzeb from Delhi under the command of Rajput King Of Amber Raja Ram Singh & the defending Ahom forces, under Ahom commander in chief Lachit Barphukan. The defeat of the Mughal forces permanently sealed any major expedition and thus Assam survived from coming under the Mughal rule. Cruising down the mighty river Brahmaputra is a life time experience even for the locals of Assam. Until our arrival, cruising on the mighty river was out of reach for many who remained high and dry. Now you can make a choice-----either take the smaller vessel if you have a low budget or if you have a good budget you take the bigger vessel where you will get more space and attached bath. But, it does not unnecessarily mean that there is lack of quality and comfort in the smaller vessel. We maintain high standards in both the vessels making your tours with us an unforgettable experience. Enjoy this life time experience and go back home and tell your friends to experience the same once in the life time!

We have 08 itineraries for the bigger vessel. You can choose from a total of 33 tours for the smaller vessel and 53 tours for the bigger vessel. The tours have fixed dates of departure which could be seen both in the itineraries. However, excluding the dates of pure cruise, which will remain unchanged; the rest of the trips could be tailored to your interests & taste. The most important part of our tours is that irrespective of the number of cabins booked, both the vessels will move as scheduled. Your enjoyment in the North Eat is our prime goal.

The river liner is a 44 m long flat-bottomed low draft vessel powered by three marine engines. There are 14 spacious twin bedded fully air-conditioned Guest Cabins with en-suite shower and W.C. The bar and dinning are in the upper lobby with full height glass windows at the rear while the lounge bar is on the main deck in the front. There is a large amphitheatre in the HALL with a bar for enriching tour lectures and audio visuals. All guest areas are fully air-conditioned along with the guest cabins. The vessel also houses a Jacuzzi in the upper sundeck for added pleasure to the guests. IDEAL FOR HOLDING MEETINGS/ CONFERENCES.

All chairs and sun loungers onboard are comfortable and are mostly made of processed bamboo. The chairs in the guest cabins along the large picture windows for relaxing in privacy are equally cozy and comfortable.
