Day:01/Cruise: Welcome by our tour manager at LGB (Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi) International Airport,Guwahati on arrival. If time permits, drive up Nilachal Hill to see the holy Maa KamakhyaTemple and city sky line from top of the hill. Later transfer to the cruise vessel. Lunch on board. The vessel leaves Guwahati at 14:30 hours and quickly crosses the cityscape. The vessel moors in a little sand island in the late afternoon near Kuruwa. You get to know the crew and the layout of the vessel in the evening. Our Tour Manager will brief you about the journey.
Day:02/Cruise: The day is spent cruising upstream, battling against strong currents near Ganesh Pahar. After a few more hours sailing we cross Mayong, the village known for its ancient forms of black magic. We moor upstream Mayong for a visit to the village.
Day:03/Cruise: Rising early morning we take a country boat to visit Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary for anElephant Safari. After the safari, we take a village walk in Mayong. We visit the Museum where we can still see the age old manuscripts of Black Magic. We may also have a small interaction with the King of Mayong. Wereturn to our vessel by noon. Lunch on board as we start sailing. Enjoy & relaxed afternoon on board, while the vessel takes us to a deserted sleepy sand island near Chutiagaon.
Day:04/Cruise: Early risers can watch the sunrise from the Sun Deck whiles a voring a cup of freshly brewed tea before heading to the delectable morning buffet table. During breakfast, you will be cruising through green valleys and blue hills. The landscapes are unrepentantly poetic and romantic. It is a truly bracing experience, akin to cruising on one of the greatest rivers in the world. The vessel departs and cruises quietly through the day, and finally takes us to a deserted sand island near Singri. Enjoy the barbeque dinner on the island.
Day:05/Cruise: Today we cruise further upstream to reach our next destination - Tezpur, a town of magnificent scenic beauty and exquisite archaeological ruins. After reaching there, we explore the little charming town. We will visit 6th century ruins of the door frame of Da-Parbatia temple, Agnigarh, Bamuni Hill ruins, Mahabhairab temple and the Cole Park. Return to the vessel in the late afternoon and cruise to a deserted sand island near Tezpur for spending the night.
Day 06: Tezpur-Dirang ( 6-7 hr): After breakfast transfer to Dirang in Arunachal. Overnight at hotel Pemaling.
Day 07: Dirang-Tawang (6-7 hr): Transfer to Tawang. En route visit Sela pass, Jaswantgarh & the Nuranang falls. Over nightat hotel Buddha/ Tawang Inn.
Day 08: Tawang: Full day in & around Tawang visiting Tsongeswar lake, PTSo lake, Tawang monastery, War memorial etc.
Day 09: Tawang-Bomdila( 7-8hr): Transfer to Bomdila. Overnight at hotel Siphiyangphong.
Day 10: Bomdila-Sangsua/ Gatoonga Tea Estate ( 6-7hr): After breakfast transfer to Sangsua/Gatoonga Tea Estate near Jorhat, one of the main tea belts in Assam. The rest of the day is free at leisure enjoying the tea garden. If tea plucking and the factory works go onwe shall take the assistance of a garden executive to explain us the method of tea plucking or tea processing.
Unlike many tea producing nations in the world, the Tea Gardens in Assam are fairly big in size covering several hectares. Assam tea is known for its Black Tea-Orthodox and C.T.C.

Day 11: Sangsua/Gatoonga-MajuliIsland( a Short drive & Ferry)-Kaziranga NP( 03 hr) : We shall take a day long excursion to Majuli Island after early breakfast. Majuli is the largest river island in the world. It is the centre of Assam’s famous Vaishnavite form of Hinduism. The religious and cultural traditions are kept alive by the dedicated monks living in the monasteries locally known as Sattra. The Sattriya dance of this sect is the latest entry into India’s recognized classical dances.
We shall visit some monasteries & interact with the celibate monks. In the afternoon we return the same way & transfer to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the home to the endangered one horned rhinoceros(2048 rhinos as per April,2009 census). Besides, the park has several species of mammals and birds. The park has 70% of the world population of the Asiatic Water Buffalo & the Eastern Swamp Deer. The park was brought under the Project Tiger recently for special efforts to protect its near 100 Royal BengalTigers. Amongst birds, the park has 25 globally threatened bird species.
Overnight at Wild Grass Resort or similar.
Day 12: KazirangaNational Park: Full day at Kaziranga. We start our Jungle Safari on elephant back early in the morning in the central range of the park for one hour. Afterwards, back to hotel and breakfast. After breakfast we take you deep inside the central range of the park in a jeep. Then, we come back for lunch and rest for two hours. Again in the afternoon, we take up another jeep safari this time covering the western range of the park.
Over night at Wild Grass Resort or similar.
Day 13: Kaziranga-Shillong (6-7 hr): Transferto Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya.
Over night at hotel Polo Towers(4*).
Day 14: Shillong-Cherrapunjee (56 km/ 90min.)-Shillong: After breakfast excursion to Cherrapunjee, famed for receiving the highest rainfall in the world. Cherrapunjee posses some exotic waterfalls & impressive limestone caves. At Cherrapunjee we visit Nohkalikai Falls,Mawsmai Falls, Bangladesh border and Mawsmaicave which is one of the 100 odd limestone caves in Meghalaya. Later drive back to Shillong. En route visit Shillong Peak& Elephant falls around Shillong.
Over night at hotel Polo Towers(4*).
Day 15: Shillong-Guwahati airport (04 hr): Transfer to Guwahati airport on time for your departure flight.
